Ode to a Fallen Hero

For the blog’s inaugural post, I have chosen to defend a fallen hero, a titan of legislature.  You may know him from his recent appearance on Glenn Beck or the commanding spread of his forehead. This man—nay, this demigod of creative excuses—is none other than former congressman Eric Massa. I believe that we as a nation have been far too harsh on this legislator who merely sought to share a little love with his staff. And what better way to express my support for this slandered man than through the healing power of poetry?

There once was a Congressman Massa
Who did much more probing than NASA
For his 50th year, with young aides he held dear
He just tickled—he didn’t harrassa.

Here’s to you, Tickle Me Eric.
